I’m Shari Kendall, an editor and linguist with a PhD from Georgetown University and an Editing Certificate from the University of Chicago. Before founding The Gilded Page Editing and Copywriting Services, I spent two decades as an associate professor of linguistics at Texas A&M University, where I taught and published on language, gender, and discourse.
Today, I bring that same analytical precision and love of language to my editorial work. I specialize in research-driven manuscripts for academia and business, including academic dissertations and theses, journal articles, nomination portfolios, and feature writing that bridges scholarship and professional practice. My approach is grounded in linguistic insight: I listen for rhythm, argument, and voice, shaping text so it speaks with clarity and authority.
I edit according to Chicago style and other major editorial standards as required, tailoring each project to its purpose and audience.
